As updates that change a macOS version number become available, this article is updated to show the latest version of that macOS. If a later version is compatible with your Mac, you can get it by updating macOS on your Mac.
Release Date For Mac Mojave
Leaving the news until the last minutes of this year's nearly two-hour presentation on Wednesday, CEO Tim Cook revealed the launch date with little fanfare, mentioning it with about as much drama as he had the update to tvOS, the operating system that powers Apple TV.
The next version of the Mac operating system, macOS Mojave, will be officially released on Monday, September 24. From that date it will come out of beta testing and will also be pre-installed on all new Macs.
During his closing remarks at this year's Apple Special Event, Tim Cook said: "We've got a great new update for the Mac with macOS Mojave. All-new Dark Mode, updates to Desktop and Finder. Enhanced privacy and security and a completely redesigned Mac App Store."
macOS Mojave 10.14 may be the most hotly anticipated Mac OS system software release in quite some time, thanks largely to the beautiful new Dark Mode interface option, along with various convenient features that are set to improve the Mac computing experience, from desktop Stacks, to dynamic wallpapers, a handful of new apps from the iOS world like News, Voice Memos, and Stocks, group FaceTime, improved security and privacy, and more.
But not having a precise release date yet is not unprecedented by any means, and that actually follows the same general timeline offered by Apple almost every year when a new operating system is released. Usually the next big version is announced at WWDC in the summer, and a fall release date is set for the public release version. So while the anticipation may be making users impatient, the vague release date of macOS Mojave is in line with typical operating system announcements, including the equally vague fall 2018 release date of iOS 12.
even u r on windows u still have to be updated. at least for editor like me. theres no way to edit 4k video on an old macbook.at just saying. u still can update to mojave even on macbookpro 2009. there is website called dosdudes

A new Mac App Store, tighter privacy and security controls, an updated Siri, and even more app-specific updates round out the newest macOS. Mojave will even brings us Group FaceTime calls in a later update.
August 23, 2002: The third release of Mac OS X added search to Finder (can you imagine it, Finder used to exist without it!) Jaguar also brings MPEG-4 support for QuickTime, a range of privacy features, and, for the first time, Accessibility API called Universal Access. Some of the apps born with this release continue living on Mac even today (for example, Address Book, which is now called Contacts).
July 25, 2012: Major apps like Notes, Reminders, and Messages arrive from iOS, turning Mac into a more comfortable spot for managing your daily routine. The most significant update in Mountain Lion is Notification Center, with on-screen banners communicating updates.
Arguably, the most significant update offered on the system - dubbed Mojave, or version 10.14 for tech fans - applies to the App Store, which has been completely redesigned to closely resemble the iOS mobile version. The overhaul will also see the introduction of a number of apps previously only available on iPads, iPods and iPhones.
The latest mac os version promises to be one of the most interesting Apple releases as it boast of a whole lot of features seen as upgrade from the previous versions. Apple calls this latest macOS version macOS10.14 which will be known as Mojave. From the look of things, Apple is focusing more on security and performance in the new macOS 10.14 version. As opposed to the wide compatibilty of it's immediate predecessor, the macOS High Sierra, the latest MacOS update will not be supporting a number of older Mac devices. The following is a list of Macdevices that will be supported by the new mac OS update:
is an article I wrote that everyone updating their Mac should read. No update should be ventured into with operating systems or software without first ensuring your data is backed up in two separate places. Slowing down of your Mac should not lead you to assume an update will fix everything. First isolate why your Mac is slowing down or crashing before installing anything new.
Be forewarned, Macs with solid state drives will be updated in formatting to APFS with 10.13 or later (this is discussed later in the tip, but bears repeating). This means if you need to downgrade the machine, you will need to erase the partition with the older HFS extended GUID to use the older systems. Regardless of which direction you go, backup your data first. This is only for Macs older than September 25, 2017.
Apple released for 10.14.6 users, 2020-003 Mojave security update. If running an earlier version of 10.14, run the 10.14.6 Combo update first. This does not give you the latest of version Safari anymore. For that, you'll need to find an alternative browser.
The oldest Mac Pro on the list above with the compatible graphics cards, had 10.6 originally installed, and is the only Mac that shipped with 10.6 that can install Mojave. Before upgrading to 10.7 or later, read this tip as Apple has not reintroduced a series of software that made older Mac compatible software compatible with Intel Macs since 10.6.8's release.
10.14.3 was released January 22, 2019. Note, some users are reporting 10.14.3 will not successfully apply as an update without an SMC reset as described how to do in this link: How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
Frequently both updates and upgrades will require multiple reboots to successfully apply. Do NOT become impatient if you find the screen go blank during the update or upgrade process. If you press the power button to shut it down while it is rebooting for the update or upgrade, it may quit the process, and leave you stuck.
Note: the 2020-004 security update for Mojave has a bug with the screen saver getting stuck. To repair delays in the screen saver, "The workaround is to choose a non-picture screen saver such as Flurry, Message, etc." (special thanks to community member dialabrain for this report.
Apple has announced that Mojave will be the final OS to support 32-bit. With this change in Mojave for developers, you have one year to get ready and update your build for 10.15, the first 64-bit only OS from Apple. Otherwise your ancient 32-bit app will no longer work in the fall of 2019.
macOS Mojave now requires your apps to request permission when using the camera, microphone, or any automation (i.e. AppleScript and Apple Events). This means if your app uses any of those functionalities, you'll need to update your code to ask for those permissions as well as handle when permission is not granted.

The developer preview of macOS Mojave is available to Apple Developer Program members now, with a public beta made initially available in June 2018 at beta.apple.com. Several iterations of the beta version of macOS Mojave have since been released; the latest was the macOS Mojave beta eight (for developers) and seven (for the public), which were rolled out in late August.
I also tried installing all other software updates in case that was a factor. They all updated fine without any problem. The only thing I can't do is get the Mojave installer to run because it is apparently "damaged".
and hitting Tab to auto complete the filename. This should show some information of the file including a couple dates. You now want to set the date of your system to a date around when the installer was created therefore marking the certificate "valid". Lets say the date it was created was Mar 20, 13:45 2019. We will set the date to the day before, Mar 19, 13:45 2019. The format for setting the date is important and it is:
